About Mauritius

• Climate: tropical. Summer (November to April) is hot and humid, around 25–33°C. Winter (May to October) is mild and drier, around 18–26°C. The cyclone season runs roughly from January to March.
• Time zone: Mauritius Time, UTC+4 (no daylight saving).
• Currency & exchange rate: Mauritian Rupee (MUR / Rs). As a guide, €1 ≈ Rs 53 (October 2026). Rates change daily, so please check with your bank or a local exchange bureau.
• Business hours: shops and offices usually open Monday to Friday around 9:00–17:00, with shorter hours on Saturday. Shopping malls stay open later and on Sundays. Many shops close on public holidays.
• Languages: English (official), French and Mauritian Creole are widely spoken.
• Driving: vehicles drive on the left.
• Electricity: 230V; UK-style three-pin (Type G) plugs are most common.

Passport & Visa Requirements

• Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond your date of departure from Mauritius.
• You may be asked to show a return or onward ticket, your accommodation details and enough funds for your stay.
• Many nationalities do not need a visa in advance for a short tourist stay, but requirements depend on your nationality.
• Please check the latest rules with the Passport and Immigration Office of Mauritius or your nearest Mauritian embassy before you travel.

Health Formalities

• A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if you are arriving from, or have transited through, a country with a risk of yellow fever.
• No other vaccinations are usually required. Check with your doctor or the Ministry of Health and Wellness of Mauritius for the latest advice.
• We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers medical care and outdoor activities.
• Bring sun protection and insect repellent, and tell us about any medical conditions, pregnancy or mobility needs before booking an activity.

Prices

• All prices are shown in euros (€) and include all taxes. There are no hidden costs.
• The price that applies is the price shown on the date of booking.
• Each package says whether the price is per person, per boat or per vehicle.
• Packages marked "Custom Quote" are priced on request according to your dates, group size and choices. You receive the full price in writing before paying.

Payment

• Send us your booking request on WhatsApp. We confirm availability and the final price in writing.
• Full payment of the confirmed price is required to secure the booking, as we reserve and pay activity providers in advance on your behalf.
• Payment can be made online on our secure payment page or by any other method we confirm with you. Card details are entered only on our bank's secure page.
• A receipt (digital) is issued for every payment.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled activity.

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance may be accepted without a cancellation fee, subject to the supplier's terms.
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the activity, including same-day cancellations, are charged 100% of the activity price.
• No-shows are also charged 100%.
• Some activities are non-refundable once booked because the supplier does not give refunds (for example, 23 Colours adventure park packages). This is stated on the package page.

This policy applies because we make advance reservations and commitments with our activity providers on behalf of our clients. Once the activities are confirmed, payments and arrangements are committed to the suppliers. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
